| How are your coffees chosen and why is your selection quite limited? |
| We do not sell names; we sell great coffee – which we have repeatedly cupped, analyzed and stand behind our choices 100%. This high quality standard means the willingness to forgo offering very popular coffees unless and until the quality is right. I continue to travel to many producing countries seeking great coffees. I focus on finding small concentrated boutique lots, often from small farmers. While extremely time-consuming and expensive, this is the cutting edge of quality development today. For me personally, it is the logical extension of my brainchild, the Cup of Excellence™. We are in the process of exploring and discovering great new coffee flavor profiles, which remain unknown because of standardized bulking throughout the coffee industry. As we grow and as we find more great coffees we will expand our offerings. I can imagine, some day, offering many coffees from each country and even region. |
