International Barista Championship {mosimage}This past weekend Troels Poulsen won The World Barista Championship using Terroir's North Italian Style Espresso. National champions from 36 nations converged in Seattle, WA to compete for the World Barista Champion title. According to The Seattle Times, "(Troels) wowed judges with espresso". Our North Italian Style Espresso from the Daterra Farm in Brazil was introduced just over 1 year ago. Since then it has gained great acclaim, and continues to grow in popularity . Terroir's North Italian Style beans are given a "light" dark roast in the tradition of Northern Italy (Milan - Trieste). As an espresso, it has a floral baby-breathe, almond aroma. The cup is elegant, smooth, of one piece from first contact to aftertaste. It is honey textured, extra-sweet and lively, chock-full of mellow clean fruit, chocolate, nuts and refined butter-marzipan with a hint of vanilla. Terroir's Northern Italian Style Espresso is available for purchase at http://www.terroircoffee.com/! Terroir Introduces a New Coffee! Rwanda is an exciting newcomer to the quality coffee market. Rwanda's true potential became apparent when we first sampled this exceptional lot from the Karaba Cooperative. The cup has a clean, smooth, balanced pecan-and-berries matrix embedding subtle, lovely, delicate floral notes distantly reminiscent of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe.
