Don't leave fresh coffee on the hot plate |
|
You may have noticed that coffee left on a hot plate tends to lose its flavor and acquires an almost burnt taste after the first few minutes. We recommend taking your pot off the hot plate as soon as it is finished brewing. Terroir coffee will retain its flavor, and in most cases, tastes even better, as it cools. Heating of any kind, by hotplate, or microwave, results in a loss of flavor, so we recommend that instead of re-heating the coffee, try heating up your mug or brew more fresh coffee. |

How to make great iced coffee. |
Iced coffee is best when brewed fresh daily. Make your regular morning pot of coffee. Immediately after you finish brewing, put the pot in the fridge (or transfer it to another container if you prefer) . Once the coffee has chilled to room temperature, serve over ice.
If you can't wait for it to chill to room temperature, you might try shaking the coffee with ice or you can keep a supply of coffee ice cubes on hand. Coffee ice cubes are an easy way to chill your coffee without diluting the flavor. Try a few different ways and see what method you like the best. |
